CMJ Review
Excerpt: “Any Bob Marley song you could ever want to hear was played for this set. Matisyahu joined them on stage for a special remediation of “No Woman, No Cry” and the crowd of tree-hugging hippies went ape-shit.”

Opening with an impressive guitar driven instrumental, The Wailers temper the crowd in mixing certified classics with brand newbies, offering a delicate rendition of Natural Mystic before singer Elan announces newer track Nothing Is Worse Than Losing You. The crowd sparks during No Woman No Cry, singing out-loud lyrics to a variety of versions, before finishing with a solo diversion during the Bob Marley epic Exodus.

Wailers New Album - First in 15 Years!
November 08, 2007
From the legendary Wailers - the band that defined reggae music as a genre selling over 250 million albums worldwide, and still influencing chart toppers from Gwen Stefani and Akon, to Daddy Yankee, Wylcef Jean, The Police, Dave Matthews and many others – comes their first commercial music release in 15 years. After touring steadily over 40 weeks a year to hundreds of thousands of fans worldwide, original members Aston “Familyman” Barrett, (the Bob Marley and the Wailers musical director and bassist); guitarist Al Anderson; keyboardist Tyrone Downie, organist Earl “Wya” Lindo, percussionist Alvin “Seeco” Patterson, rhythm and lead guitarist Earl “Chinna” Smith, and unreleased rhythm tracks from Carlton Barrett, with their new dynamic lead singer song-writer Elan will record and perform all new material with special features by A-list artists who have been influenced by the music that the Wailers defined.
Featured artists already on board and recording will be announced later in the year. The CD package will include 12-14 original new tracks and a bonus DVD of interviews, footage and clips from the compilation of this special package to be released in 2008. The release will be supported by extensive touring, media appearances and a dynamic online marketing campaign targeted to their multi-generational audience ranging from 10 – 50 years [kids, college kids and their parents].
